About This Wheel - ALTH 100/15K
Choose this 100mm wheel for a heavy transport cart or trolley on a 15mm axle that needs high capacity without the weight of a steel-centre wheel.
The tread is Blickle's Extrathane, a high-grade polyurethane elastomer at 92 Shore A, bonded to a die-cast aluminium centre, and the aluminium is the point: it carries a high load like a steel hub but weighs less and will not corrode, while the firm Extrathane keeps rolling resistance low so a loaded cart still moves. The wheel seats on a 15mm axle with a ball bearing. The standard light-brown tread protects the floor and holds from -4 to 158°F.
