The kingpinless welded raceway makes a 10-inch nylon swivel viable under heavy duty: it carries the shock a wide-tread cart drives through a swivel without a central kingpin to fail, and the thick premium-grade stainless steel swivel section resists corrosion through washdowns and caustic air. The black nylon wheel holds up to 220°F and harsh chemicals, and at 10 inches clears the biggest obstacles while staying maneuverable. The trade is that a hard wheel gives no cushioning and can be hard on a soft floor. It runs on a stainless steel precision ball bearing, bolts on a 6-1/4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, and has a wide 3-inch tread.
