About This Caster - 108-3R

Set this 3-inch metal swivel on an oven, kiln, or foundry cart that rolls through heat a rubber or polyurethane wheel could not survive.

The wheel is sintered iron, a hard metal that holds up from -40 all the way to 600°F, so it keeps rolling on a bakery rack, a heat-treat cart, or a foundry line where a poly or rubber tread would soften and fail. Metal also carries a high load for a 3-inch wheel. The trade is a hard, noisy ride that can mark or damage a soft floor, so it suits a concrete plant floor rather than a finished one. The Faultless 100 Series bracket is zinc-plated pressed steel with a four-bolt top plate and a plain bearing.
