Set this 6-inch ductile iron rigid on a fixed corner of a foundry, oven, or freezer cart that has to take extreme heat or cold and the heaviest loads.

The ductile iron metal wheel carries the highest loads in the line and holds from -100 to 800°F, which is why the 310 series goes where rubber and poly cannot, near furnaces, ovens, and deep freezers. The trade is that an iron wheel is hard and noisy and will damage a soft floor, so it belongs on bare concrete or steel. It is built on the American-made 310 frame of heat-treated laser-cut steel with fully welded legs and no kingpin to fail under shock. It rides on a roller bearing, bolts on a 6-1/4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, and as a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners.
