Specify this 5-inch swivel for a stretcher or heavy equipment cart that has to steer straight down a long corridor, where a taller wheel clears thresholds and the swivel can lock to hold a line.
The directional lock holds the swivel straight without braking the wheel, so the stretcher tracks down the hall instead of crabbing and drops back to full swivel with a tap of the pedal. Medcaster builds the Next Generation rig from glass-filled nylon, so it resists disinfectant and wash-down without rusting and runs maintenance-free, and the grey non-marking rubber tread on a polyolefin core rolls quietly over vinyl.
