A face brake presses a shoe against the wheel to stop it, holding a loaded cart on its spot. The 18 series cuts operator strain with a sealed, maintenance-free precision swivel bearing that significantly reduces the force to steer, and the non-marking maroon polyurethane tread on a lightweight aluminum hub rolls quietly with low resistance. The zinc-plated frame resists corrosion. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 5-5/8-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
